After a one-year hiatus, the Wren’s Nest Fest in Atlanta’s West End is back and better than ever! Between 10 am and 4 pm on Friday, June 8th, the Wren’s Nest will open its backyard to kids, parents and seniors for what promises to be a day filled with food, storytelling and endless amounts of fun.

The folks at the Wren’s Nest have been working hard to put together a spectacular program for this year’s festival. Activities will include a pony ride, petting zoo, fire truck, face painting, storytelling, and games for the whole family.

Beginning as early as 1988 (according to a vintage WNF t-shirt unearthed in the attic), the Wren’s Nest has seen decades of summer fun on its beautiful 2.25-acre property. Unfortunately, the museum was unable to host their annual event last year due to insufficient funds. Now, with new management and renewed fundraising and publicity efforts, Wren’s Nest Fest 2007 promises to bring back this beloved West End tradition with fervor.

The event is geared towards day camps and childcare organizations, which will be offered a reduced rate of $4 per child of 12 years and under, and to seniors, who are also being offered the $4 rate. Adults are $5. Admission will include access to all food, storytelling and activities once on the grounds.
