Wren's Nest Publishing Co.
The Wren's Nest Publishing Company is an opportunity for Atlanta-area high school students to produce a kick-ass literary journal. We've been at it for five years now.

Each summer, a handful of student-editors are invited to the Wren's Nest twice a week to learn the ropes of the print industry from professionals. In the past, we've hosted writers from Atlanta Magazine and Creative Loafing. We've also sent our editors to visit Paste Magazine, Creative Loafing, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and CNN.

Meanwhile, their peers from all over Metro-Atlanta toil away and submit their fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and art for consideration.
The editors then pick the best of the submissions and create a handsome literary journal to put it in.
After several months of delightfully exhausting work, the Wren's Nest Publishing Company releases their journal at the Decatur Book Festival, complete with a literary salon release party. In 2011, our editors released the smart-looking Midnight Consumption.
Sound like this is for you?
If you're looking to be one of the all-powerful student editors, we can't wait to receive your editor application sometime on or before May 9, 2011. See "Applications and Forms" below.
If you'd rather have your work published in our journal, use the submission cover sheet (also below) when you send in your short stories, essays, poetry, and artwork by July 5, 2011, please.
Note -- while there are submission and application deadlines, it's never too early to send things our way. Hop to!
