Auntie Remus is the same as Uncle Remus as is Auntie Uncle Remus. I always believed the owners had a divorce and she took half Nd renamed it Auntie Remus. But just to let everyone know there is an official Uncle Remus in Walmart, right off of Cicero and North Avenues. I have an addiction to the fried catfish with “mild sauce”. Also a newer more customer seat friendly restaurant 1808 Roosevelt in Maywood, I believe.

The best chicken and mild sauce in Chicago, HANDS DOWN!!! Harold’s chicken may reign supreme on the southside, but being a westsider that now lives out in the south subs, I drive to the west side, Central location for Uncle Remus.. Uncle Remus reigns supreme of the West side. When I want chicken, I drive into the city for Uncle Remus!!!! What’s up with “Auntie Remus” located on Laramie & North ave???
