Lain: On your when to edit/when not to given your closeness to the subject, I think that it is entirely appropriate to remove the humping comments. I’m still trying to figure Mencken out.

Some people have too much time on there hands. What the Hades? That statement does not have the ring of my original thought. Thanks to Tim and for your editing and it gives us something to monitor. My thought is that someone might believe this.

I don’t know, mom…though it’s probably headed the same direction it was when I was suspended from the ninth grade for writing inflammatory comments in an email that was supposed to be untraceable. Gulp.

But look at me now! Publishing more incendiary comments as an adult. Incidentally, I live next door to the computer teacher that had me suspended, and I doubt he cares. The nerve!

Okay, okay, thanks Tim. That was one of our things to do today, but I was writing a grant and Amelia already hit the road.

Additionally, I wasn’t sure if we were too biased a party to maintain that sort of thing. That’s what’s been stopping us from doing a more thorough cleaning and updating of the page. For example, the paragraph regarding H.L. Mencken’s comments, I think, says more about Mencken than it does Harris, plus they’re certainly biased and kind of irrelevant in such a short post.

As a friend of the Nest, I edited the offending paragraphs back to their pre-vandalized state. I hope that was OK. If you guys want to keep the vandalized state for comedic purposes, it is easy enough to undo – again.
