I’m Not Really Leaving the Wren’s Nest in September

April Fools’, y’all. I appreciate the kind words though, both in the comments and on our Facebook page.
I know some of y’all might not like April 1st foolin’, but let’s be real for a second — it’s probably Brer Rabbit’s favorite holiday, and we have to represent. Trickery is in our by-laws.
Let’s consider this a trial run for when I do leave the Wren’s Nest. Though given your reaction, maybe I should leave now. After all, Akbar always says: “Sit down while they still want you to stand.”

Oh, I misunderstood the purpose of April Fool’s Day – I thought it was for playing pranks, not TOOTING ONE’S OWN HORN and FISHING FOR HEARTFELT PRAISE.
And just think about all the people that got really excited there would be a job opening, any job opening, for which they might be able to apply.
It’s more of a STRIKING SOME FEAR INTO OUR BOARD OF DIRECTORS kind of thing, Christa. I’m sorry* the rest of y’all got roped into it.
*not really!
That is very Brer Rabbit of you. With your subsequent raise, I hope you are taking all of us who did not fall for your trickery out for pizza.
You bet.
Whenever that raise happens you and Team Pecanne Log and whoever else to can come to the Wren’s Nest to eat pizza out in the yard with our critter friends. Or we can always go to Chuck E. Cheese to hang with the (animatronic) critters there.
And I said I wasn’t “Had” on April Fool’s Day!
I have just found the blog and found out that I can really identify with the problems you have had to face at your museum and said “I need to watch these guys and see if I can apply some of their idea’s at my museum!” then, “Hey guys, I’m out of here!” and I thought…”Oh Man!”. Yeah, you got me.
You weren’t alone, Steven. I offer a link to the East Point Historical Society in our blogroll as a peace offering.
Thank you for the link, Why I am all a-fluttered, No one that far “nawth” has ever considered lil ole us!
