It was a tight race, but turns out we’re really, really biased. Your favorite Wren’s Nest blogger Amelia is the new May Queen Champion for 2008.

Watch out Amy – I might have to steal that from you….I always wanted to be May Queen. It ranks up there as close second of wanting a Donnie & Marie Showcase set which Santa never brought.
Will you please provide a detailed chain of events as to how this coronation went down. Some things I am curious to know include:
-How many contestants were there?
-Who were the judges?
-Was there a talent portion to the pageant, and if so who displayed what talents?
-What responsibilities does the May Queen have to fulfill?
-Where can I get a crown like that?

There was 1 contestant.
I was the only judge.
Yes, there was a talent portion. Amelia demonstrated how she is able to slip the judge a $5 bill oh-so-nonchalantly.
The May Queen must be able to keep her eyes open while someone takes her picture.
As for the crown…ask my mom. I don’t mess with that.
