Alice Walker to Speak at Emory
Written on March 14, 2008 at 7:55 am, by Lain
Mark your calendars for March 25th, when Alice Walker will give a talk and reading at Glenn Memorial Auditorium right next to Emory’s campus.

Thanks to the good people at Emory’s Manuscripts, Archive, and Rare Books Library for bringing great speakers to town. And, okay, their papers too.

Do you know what time this is taking place?
6 pm!
You gonna go and call her out for dissin’ your family, yo?
Come to think of it, I may actually have something already planned for that time and day. Usually I do not think past five minutes from now, but I might be booked already, unfortunately.
If I do have the chance to go, I will probably be, like, one of 500 people in attendance. I doubt I’d get a chance to speak with her or invite her to the Wren’s Nest.
Why can’t we invite her by letter? There’s always a chance she might say yes.
